Metallica collaborated with Dutch director Anton Corbijn to create the music video for hero of the day, a single released from their 1996 album Load. The video follows a drug-addled youth who spends his entire day watching television. Every program he watches features some aspect of Metallica, including a Western movie with Kirk Hammett and Jason Newsted, a boxing match with James Hetfield as the coach, and a game show where Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are contestants.
