Global climate change is a very urgent phenomenon and affects every aspect of life on Earth. Rising global temperatures, changing weather patterns, and rising sea levels are some of the main impacts due to human activities, especially greenhouse gas emissions. In order to understand the impact and find solutions, it is important to dig deeper into the effects and the steps that can be taken. The first impacts of climate change are natural disasters that are becoming more frequent, such as floods, forest fires and extreme tropical storms. According to the IPCC report, the number of these disasters has increased significantly in recent decades. Each disaster not only damages infrastructure, but also results in loss of life and disruption to the local economy. Second, agriculture and food security are very vulnerable. With changes in temperature and rainfall patterns, agricultural yields can decrease drastically. Plants that were previously fertile are now experiencing crop failure. This causes food prices to increase and threatens global food security, especially in developing countries. Third, climate change has an impact on human health. Vector-borne diseases, such as malaria and dengue fever, are expected to increase with changes in temperature. Additionally, air pollution from burning fossil fuels causes an increase in respiratory diseases that contribute to the global death rate. However, there are various solutions that can be implemented to overcome these impacts. First, the transition to renewable energy such as solar, wind and hydro is essential. Renewable energy can reduce dependence on fossil fuels which are the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions. Second, the development of environmentally friendly technologies, such as electric vehicles and sustainable agricultural systems, could be the key to the solution. Technological innovation not only reduces emissions but also increases the efficiency of using natural resources. Third, reforestation and ecosystem protection are very important in absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere. Planting trees and protecting forests can improve air quality and help maintain biodiversity. Finally, increasing public awareness about sustainable lifestyles plays a key role. Education about reducing waste, wise energy consumption, and using public transportation can change daily behavior to be more environmentally friendly. Implementing these strategies requires collaboration between government, industry and individuals. With concerted action and strong commitment, we can reduce the impacts of climate change and build a more sustainable future. Knowledge and active community participation are important elements in creating positive behavior towards the environment, so that conditions can be improved for future generations.
